I had some dates to use, and this recipe came up from a google search. It was delicious! I was inhaling the stuff, so had to quickly find someone to give it to, to get it out of the house. My aunt has enjoyed it equally, and has been hiding it from the people in her household!

I made these scones yesterday and they are amazing. I’ve been looking for a recipe similar to some great date and orange scones I had at a cafe and this is it. I used half wholemeal flour and half white and they still turned out light and moist. They also freeze very well and are almost as good as fresh when deforosted in the microwave.

Thank you sooo much for this recipe! It is a very very old family recipe that my great great aunt used to make… my mum was the only one that had the recipe, but while living overseas he hand written recipe book got looted, during the floods in Jordan a d fe years back. We have googled before as we all could remember a few ingredients….but this is the exact recipe!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!!!
